One of the RMC's major roles is to provide rural Marylanders with one voice on issues important to their standards of living and quality of life. Toward that end, we have used our Working Committees and Rural Roundtables to form partnerships and bring together interested stakeholders to share ideas and reach consensus on possible solutions to rural concerns. Rural Roundtables are flexible one or two day events that focus on a specific issue and bring together those most interested in, and knowledgeable of an issue important to rural Maryland. Ultimately, our goal is to develop a tangible action plan for overcoming barriers to success.
Roundtables highlights are shown at the right.
Prior to hosting Roundtables, the RMC sponsored an annual statewide Summit with various other partners. For archival information about the Summits.
